Putting

Not everyone can golf, but everyone can putt. One of the easiest things to start off learning in golf is putting. Though it can get challenging, the more enthusiastic you become about golf the easier it will get.
The best thing about putting is you can do it anywhere! If it's raining and you can't go and practice at the local driving range, you can putt at home. In the living room, or a carpeted area is fine, and it can turn into a fun family activity! If you're not sure about golf because it looks boring, try putting because I can tell you from first hand experience that it is not boring and it is very addictive (in the good way)!

The Open Championship
St. Andrews golf course. One of the oldest golf courses in history. As the home of golf, winning on this golf course means so much to all of the players. This year The Open Championship was played there and many players were at the will of the course. Known for its unpredictable weather, fifty mile an hour winds, lightning storms, and flat out R.A.I.N., this course challenges even the best of golfers. The picture to the left shows a sand-filled pit which, in golf, is called a Bunker. They can be up to six feet deep and almost impossible to get out of. The fairways at St. Andrews appear so inviting and can seem so easy to hit, but when all the elements are against you that fairway can turn into an "unpredictable Goliath". My goal and dream is to play in a professional tournament there so I'd better get back to practice!
